Is it time to make room for something new?

Yesterday I was about to share something really inspired about Human Design on social media – then realised I was ahead of myself. I wanted to share something relevant. But without explaining where the information was coming from I felt that might be confusing. I realised it was time to make some room for new by clearing out the old first.

The thing about Human Design is this: we each have our own unique blueprint, which shows you where you have consistent access to energy. It makes you who you are in the world and shines the light on who you came here to be. When you have consistent access to that energy and you feel ‘in flow’, it shapes how you do things and show up in the world. Every few days, the sun accentuates a little bit more of some of that energy in a way that influences the things you feel you were born to do. Right now, we’re in the energy of completing unfinished business. So we can make room for something new!

Whether that’s a project, a half finished conversations, or something that needs clearing out of the way

Perhaps energetically you need to do a little bit of sorting out. Maybe you’ve got files and folders, things that need a bit more organisation. Basically, it’s energy for clearing the decks and clearing a path, so that new energy and new things can find their way to you. Is it time for you to make room for something new?

Back in January, I was fortunate enough to have a session with the world leader in Quantum Human Designâ„¢, Karen Curry Parker who gently but lovingly advised me what I need to be doing in the coming weeks, months, maybe the next year or so. And the focus was getting clear on what I need to let go of, to get it out of my way. To understand if I have anything in front of me that’s stopping me from moving forwards. Towards the person I’m intended to be – so I can find my way to where I’m going (because I have lots of plans!).

I found this fascinating because back in 2020 I actually went through a phase where I just couldn’t help myself, I went through a phase of finishing off things. I had absolutely no idea why I was doing it. But I was really focused on not having all of these half-finished things. It included things like cross-stitch projects and courses I’d started. I was annoyed and frustrated with myself that I hadn’t finished them. This kind of negative energy and story is no fun for anyone to be carrying around.

If you’re somebody who likes to learn something new

we have something in common! That is part of my human design makeup – I love to learn. I love to learn so that I can share and help other people. Maybe you’re somebody that signed up for lots of courses, and you haven’t done them. Is there something stopping you from doing them? Are you making excuses that you don’t have time? Is it just that you have lost the interest in doing them? Maybe you signed up for them during some of that isolation period when you had the time and now the world is pretty much back to normal, you’re too busy? Is that it? Or is there something else?

Sometimes we don’t complete things, and what happens is our energy is still attached to them. It’s still attached to those projects, those courses, the half done things. Because of that it can take away some of the momentum and the energy that you have for things that maybe you are more passionate about, and you do want to see through, you do want to commit to.

Maybe you’re resisting taking up something new because you’ve got this story that you never finish anything?

The energy of the next few days is all about finding – and making – time to get stuck into finishing those half finished things (let’s call them projects). Look at them, weigh them up, decide if they’re still right for you or not. And if not – let them go. Just say to yourself, “it’s okay that I didn’t complete that course. It meant something to me at the moment that I signed up for it”. Maybe it was an impulse buy (we all do that!). But it’s not something that you feel like you need to do anymore. When you do that, then show yourself some love, be kind to yourself, forgive yourself for not doing the thing, be okay, be at peace with it. Then put it down. Close the book on it. Delete the files, unsubscribe from the emails. Get rid of the things that are cluttering your energy field (even if you didn’t realise they were).

I hope that this resonates because it genuinely has made such a difference to my world and I want that for you, too.

In the past couple of years, I’ve decided I’m not going to be the person that leaves all these things unfinished anymore. It doesn’t work for me, I get frustrated (not a good energy for my Human Design type, the Manifesting Generator). I find it such a waste of the time that I did invest if I then didn’t complete the thing. A waste of the energy that I invested in it, or the money that I invested in it. It’s okay to make room for something new!

When Karen Curry Parker read my Quantum Human Designâ„¢ chart

in her own, beautiful, unique style, it was an incredibly powerful, moving, motivating driving force for lots of things that I have done since. It showed me that getting things off my energetic conveyor belt is an absolute non-negotiable.

What’s an energetic conveyor belt?

When you commit to something, or you start it, it joins your energetic conveyor belt. As the conveyor belt moves along, you pick up something else. Your conveyor belt gets heavier and heavier the more it things it gathers. It slows down. So your energy gets heavier and heavier and heavier. And if you don’t complete the things, finish them, move them along or put them to one side. If you don’t go to the next phase with them, or keep them moving your belt (your energy) is going to get so weighed down, that it isn’t going to serve you well at all. Your energy could eventually get completely stuck and you’ll find it hard to maintain any kind of desire to do any of the things, unfinished or otherwise. You’ll lose your momentum and drive. Does that make sense?

So whether that’s finishing things that you started, closing the door on something that at one point in time was significant to you but is no longer serving you. Maybe it’s drawing a line under something that you need to let go of or changing your communication with somebody – now’s the time to look at it and find a way to draw a line under it. Free up your energy for fresh, new things. As you learn to release the old, you’ll start to get fired up for the new – making room for new things is such a satisfying feeling so maybe it’s time to give it a try?
