A reflection from The Permissionista
The thing Iโm really noticing right now is just how much noise there already is online.
Events. Offers. Challenges. Content galore.
All the โnew year, new youโ energyโฆ and itโs only just begun.
Honestly? Itโs a lot.
If youโve felt the same, like even a gentle scroll through your feed leaves you feeling overstimulated and flat – hands up. I see you.
Yes, there are so many incredible tools and ways to support ourselves right now. But sometimes, that just adds more pressure.
So Iโve made a conscious decision:
Not to jump in. Not to add to the noise.
But to speak from softness.
To share from softness.
To be in softness – and let that be my signature.
Itโs not for effect. Itโs not part of my strategy.
Itโs who I am.
Itโs also how Iโm wired, through the lens of Human Design.
Iโm here to bring peace. To bring calm. To hold safe space.
So itโs no wonder that ramping up with that urgency never felt quite right in my body.
I love and honour those of you who are starting the year full of fire, focus, and five-year plans – if thatโs your truth, Iโm cheering for you. Truly.
But if that kind of momentum is being borrowed from other peopleโs urgency? If itโs driven more by FOMO than feelingโฆ
Then maybe this is your invitation to pause.
Because yes, itโs great to โhit the ground running.โ
But only if you know what you’re running toward.
And only if youโre ready.
A softer start
So hereโs what Iโve been doing instead.
Iโve been starting each morning with cacao, slowly. Intentionally.
Not rushing to the next thing.
Iโve been listening to soothing meditations or soft hypnosis while sipping, if the moment allows.
Not to โachieveโ something.
But to cushion my nervous system. To welcome myself into the day.
To remember that just because everyone else is speeding up, I donโt have to.
Because letโs be honest, the pressure to โstart the year strongโ is everywhere.
But more doesnโt always mean better.
Starting everything at once rarely sticks.
And often, itโs just exhausting.
Hereโs what felt like a revelation when I first discovered it:
๐ In Human Design, the new year doesnโt actually begin on January 1st.
Instead, the energetic new year begins around January 21stโ22nd, when the Sun enters Gate 41: the gate of imagination, dreaming, and beginnings.
Thatโs when the true cycle starts. And until then?
Weโre still completing the last one.
So if youโve felt slower than usual to start this yearโฆ
If youโre still reflecting, releasing, or just not quite ready to charge ahead?
Thatโs not resistance.
Thatโs wisdom.
A different question
Someone asked me recently how I was getting on with planning for the year ahead.
And for a second, I felt like I needed to have an answer. A spreadsheet. A strategy.
But I realised:
Iโm not planning in the traditional sense.
Iโm just gently moving in the direction that feels true.
Following nudges.
Choosing softness.
Allowing things to unfold without force.
That doesnโt mean I donโt have intentions – I do.
It just means Iโm not sacrificing my peace to meet someone elseโs pace.
And so I ask you…
What would it mean to begin this year more softly?
To make decisions not out of urgency, but out of trust?
To honour what you truly need, even if it looks different than whatโs โexpectedโ?
Thereโs no one right way to do this.
But if this invitation into softness, groundedness, and self-honouring is speaking to youโฆ I want you to know about Reveal.
Itโs my gentle 10-week energetic reset, where we work together to soften the noise, unpick old narratives, and reconnect you to the truth of who you really are. Using your Human Design, EFT, and the 9 Resiliency Keys, we create a new foundation – one that actually supports the life youโre trying to build.
โจ If that feels like a “maybe yes” in your body, message me. Thereโs no pressure, just a gentle conversation.
For now, Iโll leave you with the frequency of safety and grounding. (If you saw the live with my Root chakra bowl, youโll know how powerful that vibration felt.)
Hereโs to beginning softly.
Hereโs to doing it your way.
Hereโs to you.
With love,
Jacqueline | The Permissionista
