Who are you being?

Who are you being in the world?

This question has come up in a lot of conversations recently, which was one of the reasons why I felt it was appropriate today. More often than not, we find ourselves doing things in a way that we think it’s what people expect. Not necessarily something that we would choose for ourselves. We can find it really difficult to think about being who we are, above who we think people expect us to be. And sometimes that can mean that we do things in a way that we’re not really in alignment with our true authentic selves.

As people pleasers we want to keep other people happy – of course we want to keep other people happy. But in doing that, are we being fair and right and honest with ourselves?

So the question to ask yourself today is who are you being?

Are you being real about who you are, what you need and what you really think about things?

Are you being honest?

Are you easily influenced? So by the time you’ve finished a conversation with somebody you find yourself thinking what actually yeah, they’ve got a point – and completely forget what you thought for yourself in the first place.

Did you lose yourself in there somewhere? Is that what you were thinking? Are you being overlooked a little bit by thinking they think instead?

Something that happens when we do this is we then start being really hard on ourselves, for not actually standing up for what we believe in. And this is something that is really, really very common, and I see it a lot in the kind of women that I work with. They tend to be very empathic women who you know, are very emotional and ‘feeling’ about what they do and the choices that they make. And that that is absolutely okay. But it’s also okay to want to think and need to think about who you are and what you need.

How would it feel to respond in that situation or that conversation as you? How would that feel? Would that feel different? Do you feel like you maybe don’t know who that person is?

Right here, right now this is your opportunity to put your hand up and say, I feel like I don’t know who this person is – and I need someone to help me find her.

I have so many tools in my tool-kit that can help you start to unpick some of that and start to really get to know and find out who you are at the heart, what you need, what you deserve. And understanding in a really gentle way, why it might be that you found yourself in this place.

So if you’re somebody who is perhaps at a time in their life when you’re thinking, crikey, all of these years I’ve been about everybody else and I don’t even know who I am – drop me a line. I can help with this.

The key ‘tool’ that sits at the heart of everything that I deliver is known as Human Design, which is about getting to know your genetic makeup, who you are – a blueprint of who you are in the world – so you can start to figure out what that looks like in a new way. Because maybe it’s time for you to change things up a little bit.

I love to help people figure out this stuff this kind of like murky muddiness maybe around who they ‘F’ are you – so who are you? Let me help.

Drop a line in the comments, send me a private message, drop me an email and just say, I need help with this.

I’m here I can help you.

The card that came with this video is from the A-Z of self-care

So here’s a card that might help with that.

We have the letter Q for question.

The question is ask for what you need. Reflect on that question. Ask it out loud.

One of the things that we often don’t do, we might walk around with this internal dialogue. Conversations going on in our minds around all of the things like the things that are working, the things that aren’t working, the things that we’re frustrated about the things or that annoy us, the things that make us feel a bit crappy. And we don’t actually put any of that out there to the world.

By asking for what you need – and if you don’t know what that is, you can simply ask out loud, how can I figure out what I need? Just put that out there. Don’t expect find the answer. The answer will find you. By putting it out there in the world, you will start to see solutions, have conversations. Notice things that will come up that will make you feel like ‘do you know what? Maybe that’s it!’

Trust that the answer will find you. The affirmation that comes with this card simply says, ‘When I ask I will be answered.’

Those answers will find you and if they don’t or you need some help with it, then I have just one more suggestion for you! Book a Curiosity Call. Go check out the info here.
