You know that part of you that keeps trying to get it right – to show up fully formed, polished, and already certain?
What if the very trying was never a mistake, but the sacred part of your design?
This week I found myself staring at that truth, again, inside one of my SHero sessions, and it cracked something open.
This piece isnโt about perfection or performance.
Itโs about what happens when you stop trying to master the becomingโฆ and let yourself practice being.
As a 1/3 Manifesting Generator, Iโve learned that life doesnโt hand over mastery. It hands you experiments, then asks what youโll make of them.
Trial, then error. Then another round of both.
And for years, I thought that rhythm meant I was doing something wrong.
When would all this experimenting become something worthwhile?
The slow epiphany
While preparing for the final Storylab session of Reclaim Your SHero, I caught myself in that familiar loop, Desperately wanting to polish what Iโd learned before sharing it.
Suddenly, the truth landed:
Maybe the polish was never the point.
Maybe the practice always was.
Going Deeper
In Human Design, there are countless ways to explore yourself. From your energy type, to your profile lines, from gates to centres.
Itโs almost too easy to turn that exploration into a quest for ‘right’ answers.
But every piece of that chart is an invitation to remember who you already are.
When I first found Human Design back in 2022, I was alive in the experiment. Learning through doing, sharing, failing, trying again. My energy moved freely because I wasnโt trying to look ready.
I was in full-on experimentation mode.
Then, somewhere between certification modules and late-night study sessions, I started performing the role of โgood student.โ
I traded curiosity for competence.
Presence for preparation.
And in the process, I lost touch with the very thing that makes my design thrive.
Being in the moment with what is, not rehearsing what should be.
The realisation
My chart holds 8x line-1s, meaning Iโm wired to learn, to dig, to master. But even that can become a performance if I forget that learning happens through living.
Iโd been searching for the joyful expression, forgetting to enjoy the act of discovery itself.
All those attempts, those micro-adjustments, those โtry againโ moments. They are the contribution I’m here to make.
Thatโs what the Right Angle Cross of Service* teaches: the pursuit of joy isnโt a destination. Itโs the devotion to recalibration.
*If you have no idea what I’m talking about here, don’t worry. The Incarnation Cross is something to explore once you’ve already been in discovery mode for some time. If that sounds like you, I’m working on something to help you make more sense of that, specifically. Book a call with me to find out more.
A quiet truth
The greatest teacher I have is myself.
And I forget that, often.
Maybe you do too?
If youโre a 1/3, you might know this tug-of-war: trying to relate to the world before youโve fully synthesised your own understanding.
But what if the very act of circling back, the revisiting, the refining, the honest โstill figuring it outโ is what makes your story powerful?
An invitation
Hereโs what Iโd love for you to try:
Take one part of your own story. A loop you keep finding yourself in – and write a short reflection. Not to fix it. Not to explain it. Just to see it.
Thatโs where self-trust starts.
And if youโd like a guide for that process, someone to help you translate your lived experiences into the language of your own authority – thatโs exactly the work I do inside Storylab and experiences like Reclaim Your SHero.
Lately, Iโve been feeling a new layer inviting me forth. A deeper experiment with what it truly means to live my design, not just understand it.
Itโs less about becoming someone new and more about remembering the self that already knows.
I donโt have all the language for it yet, but I can feel it forming. I’m calling it Your Quantum Self.
For now, Iโm letting it unfold in real time, one reflection, one recalibration at a time.
Maybe you are too.
For now, letโs stay with the practice. Thatโs where the gold always hides.
