What if it was just an experiment?
There’s something about us third line profiles I want to be honest about.
And if you’re one too, I think you’ll feel this in your body.
We’re not designed to sit on the sidelines waiting for certainty.
We’re here to learn by doing.
By trying.
By touching the hotplate and finding out for ourselves.
Yet when something doesn’t land?
The voice in our heads rarely says,
“That was an experiment.”
It says,
“That was a failure.”
This past weekend, I ran a little experiment.
Not Human Design.
Not anything I’ve done on repeat before.
I offered a tapping session at a wellbeing day. Something standalone, focused on EFT (Tapping), without the Human Design insights I usually lead with.
Even as I said yes, prepared my notes, mapped out my flip chart…
there was this pull in my body.
Not anxiety exactly.
Just a quiet sense that… this might not be it.
But I showed up anyway.
That’s the third line way.
You move with the idea, not the guarantee.
So I helped welcome guests to the event. Networked.
Watched the energy of the event build.
And when it was time?
No one came.
Not one person.
Just me, a flip chart, and a room full of empty glasses.
Even just a year ago, I would’ve spiralled.
Old business stories would’ve flooded in:
“These never work for you.”
“You’ve wasted your time again.”
“You’re not valuing yourself or the depth of your foundations.”
But that’s not what happened.
Because I’ve started seeing my business, and my energy – through a different lens.
I kept asking,
“What did I need to find out here?”
And that’s the difference.
When you embrace your design, especially if you’re a 1/3, 3/5, 3/6, or 6/3 – ‘failure’ stops being personal.
It starts being information.
If you’re someone who learns by doing, if you’ve tried All The Things and still don’t feel like they’ve clicked…
I want you to know this:
You’re not unfinished.
You’re just in the middle of the experiment.
And the experiment itself…
is sacred.
